In 1998, Brigadier Bambera was promoted to commander of UNIT-UK. She appointed Sergeant Jean-Paul Savarin as her second-in-command. By the mid-2000s, UNIT UK was headquartered in a base underneath the Tower of London, (TV: The Christmas Invasion) though it also operated a victim-retrieval station in Hereford, (AUDIO: Dissected) and UNIT Base 5 beneath Mount Snowdon. (TV: Death of the Doctor) A separate facility in Britain held the Black Archive, (TV: Enemy of the Bane) though it was later located in the Tower in the 2010s. (TV: The Day of the Doctor)
