Shane Richie played himself in the 2011 BBC Christmas ident Consider Yourself One Of Us...

At the time, he was best known for playing Alfie Moon on EastEnders.

On 20th October 2022, it was announced that Richie would be taking on the role of Drax in 2022 Big Finish Productions release The Eighth Doctor Adventures (audio series): Connections.
