In the comic book Time Surgeon, plasma-blasts were the weapons of the Deathroids, who had a habit of shouting "Eradicate!" when firing. In the instalment Day of the Deathroids, the Deathroids used their plasma-blasts against the Time Surgeon and Nurse Kara, only for the duo to use their chrono-shields to send the blasts back in time. The plasma-blast and cry of "Eradicate!" is a clear allusion to the Dalek gunstick and their cry of "Exterminate!".
