Romana I told the Fourth Doctor that Bartholomew's Planetary Gazetteer described Ribos as having a protected class three society. For this reason, she told him, Garron, who had assumed a Somerset accent, could not be from Earth, as there couldn't be any "Earth aliens" on Ribos. (TV: The Ribos Operation)

The first edition of Bartholomew's Planetary Gazetteer misprinted the planet Drornid's name as "Dronid". Subsequently, this became the name used by the rest of the universe. (PROSE: Alien Bodies)

Irving Braxiatel had a copy of the book on the Braxiatel Collection. He began looking for it when Patrick Quilby mentioned Bellotron, a planet with which he said he was unfamiliar. (AUDIO: Professor Bernice Summerfield and the Bellotron Incident)
