The Tomorrow People was an audio series produced by Big Finish Productions as a continuation of the 1970s television show The Tomorrow People. The series is of note to this wiki because of its influence on contemporaneous Big Finish ranges, with development for recurring aliens the Slarvians influencing their appearances in Short Trips and Bernice Summerfield.
Starting in 2001, the series ran for five seasons until 2007, after which, due to a breakdown in communication and plans for a Tomorrow People revival TV series, the license to The Tomorrow People was unexpectedly not renewed to Big Finish. Mark Wright and Cavan Scott had been chosen to produce seasons 7 and 8 of the audio series, and the loss led to them producing Iris Wildthyme instead. In tribute to this, The Two Irises namedrops the Sorsons. (REF: The Big Finish Companion: Volume 2)

The Slarvians were to return, with elements setting up the next season. Slarvia was to be introduced as the Slarvian homeworld, a sister planet at war with Slarvos over the Pearl of Wisdom. The Slarvian Emperor would be shown as Slarvia's ruler, in conflict with Slarvos' Slarvian Queen. The plot was later adapted into the Bernice Summerfield short story Benny and Louise.

Magrs had "two big ideas" for this story, planning either on it having Iris Wildthyme and Panda meeting the Tomorrow People or using "brilliant idea" which he didn't disclose in The Big Finish Companion: Volume 2 because he was going to use it in another project.
