On 13 January, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1964 - Pre-filming for Marco Polo began at Stage 3B of Ealing Studios. Several cutaway shots were filmed, including bamboo stalks exploding and water spilling from gourds. (TCH 2)
- 1968 - Episode one of The Web of Fear was recorded at Lime Grove Studios D. (TCH 11)

- 1994 - An agreement regarding the 1996 tele-movie was finally made. Philip Segal, who then gained control of the show, was to get a new series ready to pitch to the American networks.
- 2012 - The Big Finish audio story Black and White was recorded at The Moat Studios.
- 2013 - Big Finish's Bernice Summerfield audio drama anthology Missing Persons was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2014 - The Big Finish audio story Signs and Wonders took place at the Moat Studios.
- 2015 - The Big Finish audio story The Warehouse was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2017 - Big Finish confirmed that Burn Gorman would be reprising the role of Owen Harper for the Torchwood audio range, beginning with Corpse Day .
- 2020 - The Big Finish audio story Subterfuge was recorded at the Soundhouse.
- 2020 - Big Finish's audio anthology Thin Time / Madquake was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2020 - The second series of Big Finish's audio series Missy was recorded.
- 2022 - Big Finish's Torchwood Soho audio story The Unbegotten was recorded.
