Benedict Summerfield IV was the final Summerfield to be named Benedict. He spent his entire life inside a laboratory.
In the 2360s, the Earth Empire wanted to find a way to induce super-fertility to populate colony planets. Cathal Summerfield volunteered to be part of the experiments, and in 2363 gave birth to Benedict.
Benedict survived to be a toddler, and in 2365, he gave birth to Isaac Summerfield I. He died shortly afterwards.
Records of Benedict were kept until the late 26th century. Christine Summerfield learned about Benedict when she read the Summerfield family tree. (PROSE: Dead Romance)
