The alien mother was the mother of a baby known to Torchwood Three as "Czisch". She fell through the Cardiff Space-Time Rift with her baby, and died as a result. (PROSE: Virus) Czisch later grew up believing that he had been abandoned. (PROSE: The Wrong Hands)
