On 26 September, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1966 - Pre-filming for The Power of the Daleks began at Stage 2 of Ealing Studios. (TCH 9)
- 1967 - Pre-filming for The Ice Warriors continued on Stage 3 of Ealing Studios. (TCH 11)
- 1973 - Location filming for Invasion of the Dinosaurs took place. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Third Doctor)

- 1994 - Executive producer Philip Segal was asked by his superior Steven Spielberg to hire a new writer for the 1996 TV movie. This was because he found that previous writer John Leekley's 8 September work was veering a little too closely to his own Indiana Jones series, also the reason why he turned down directing the movie. Eventually, Robert deLaurentis was chosen, and handed in a revised draft of the storyline on 7 October.
- 2003 - The return of Doctor Who in a new, BBC Wales-produced series was announced officially by Controller of BBC One Lorraine Heggessey.
- 2006 - The Big Finish audio story Nocturne was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2013 - Big Finish's audio anthology Dark Eyes 2 was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2015 - Filming wrapped on The Husbands of River Song.
- 2017 - Big Finish's Gallifrey audio anthology Time War: Volume One was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2018 - The Big Finish audio story No Place was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2019 - Big Finish's audio anthology The First Doctor Adventures: Volume Four was recorded at the Soundhouse.
- 2020 - Doctor Who: Lockdown! hosted a tweetalong of Mummy on the Orient Express.
