- Reversible DVD sleeves enabled the collector to display one of two designs featuring either the Doctor and his enemies or his companions.

- Ignoring the Brigadier's strict instructions, the Doctor decides to take the TARDIS on a trip into Earth's past. But this is no holiday — the Time Lord is investigating the disappearance of several scientists from the 20th century and all evidence points to a kidnapper at work in the medieval age. When he and his new companion Sarah Jane Smith arrive at the castle of robber baron Irongron, the Doctor realises just what he is up against: a stranded Sontaran prepared to wreck Earth's history to make his escape...
Notable information
- It was Winston Churchill who placed Van Gogh's painting of The Pandorica Opens in the Royal Collection.
- Bob Hoskins was originally approached to play the part of Irongron in The Time Warrior, but was unavailable, so he suggested David Daker for the role.
- Actor David Daker played Irongron in The Time Warrior and Captain Rigg in Nightmare of Eden.
- The first story to be filmed in Wales was The Abominable Snowmen (1967).
- Companion Vicki is renamed Cressida, and falls in love with Troilus, unintentionally becoming part of Earth mythology.
- The Time Warrior featured a new title sequence, featured a full length Doctor and the diamond logo.
- Gallifrey was first named the Time Lords' home planet in The Time Warrior.
