Leslie French (23 April 1904-21 January 1999[1]) played the mathematician in the Doctor Who television story Silver Nemesis.

French was considered for the role of the First Doctor. (DOC: Industrial Action)

At the age of 94, he was the oldest actor to have appeared in Doctor Who at the time of his death.
