Max was a homeless man. He was an acquaintance of Ellie Faber.

Max was once a boxer but ended up on the streets. When Clyde Langer, Sarah Jane Smith and Rani Chandra were scouring London to find Ellie in 2011, he told them that she got a lift from Night Dragon haulage for a second chance. (TV: The Curse of Clyde Langer)
