Margaret Cain graduated from the University of Sheffield, with a first-class honours degree in chemistry. She later went on to join the Bowie Base One mission on Mars. (TV: The Waters of Mars)

Margaret shares her home town of Grenoside, and her university, with Helen Sharman, the first British woman in space. Margaret was similarly the second British woman on the Moon.
