The following is an approximate timeline of the Eighth Doctor, split by rough era (often indicated by publisher and real-world time, and named as such). This should not been seen as definitively indicitive of User:Cousin Ettolrhc's permanent beliefs, nor of her editing agenda.

Sources from ranges like the Short Trips where placement is not collected can be placed in segements pertaining to other ranges, such as Big Finish's The Eighth Doctor Adventures.

Headings should be named after, or at least include, their real-world range/series name. For example Adventures with Charley Pollard (Main Range), rather than simply Adventures with Charley Pollard. Note that the inclusion of the brackets "Main Range" does not exclude non-Main Range sources, such as The Further Adventuress, as outlined above. Subpages should be named after the acronym of their real-world range/series name, for example "MR" for "Main Range". Note that "EDA" here refers to the BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures and "8DA" to Big Finish's The Eighth Doctor Adventures. When a subpage can only be named after in-universe information, such as User:Cousin Ettolrhc/Sandbox/Timeline - Eighth Doctor/Greenpeace gap, it should use the full phrase and not just the acronym.

The "Greenpeace gap"

(NOTE)
The Doctor leaves Sam at a Greenpeace rally, for what is a few hours for her and a few years for him. (PROSE: Seeing I)
