According to historical accounts quoted by the Fifth Doctor, 1484 was the last year where the so-called "Princes in the Tower" were seen in public. When the Doctor actually travelled back in time to investigate the mystery, however, he discovered that people had claimed to have seen them in 1485. (AUDIO: The Kingmaker)
