General Veldac was the commander of the Sea Devil military unit that was hibernation at the South Pole. When the Silurian science task force based there was forced into working for the American human businessman Rick Pelham, Veldac and his troops were revived by Partock, a young Silurian who was determined to take their planet back from the humans.
