The Lodger[1] is the eleventh story of Series 5.
Synopsis
The Doctor faces his greatest challenge yet - a flat share! People are disappearing on Aickman Road, and the Doctor must solve the mystery of the staircase that people walk up - but never down. [1]

Story Notes
- This episode was mistakably entitled Reality Check.
- "The Lodger" is also the title of a comic strip story by Gareth Roberts. It is unknown if this story is a adaption of the other. though set report evidence seems to confirm it as a adaptation and being the same title and wrirter make it seem more likely.
- The Doctor will dress in a Football uniform and play Football with Craig in the episode.

Rumours
- Craig will either die or join the Doctor by the end of this episode. Another possibility is the the Doctor will offer him a trip, but Craig will decline.
- It is rumoured that either the Timoreen, the Ha'rik or the Skarkish will appear.
- This episode will be the one that features the Blue Peter Competition TARDIS console. It is thought that, considering the content of this stories comic strip counterpart and the details for the aforementioned competition, that perhaps the TARDIS jumps a time track and is unable to get back to The Doctor's time (perhaps a larger time track) and so The Doctor will begin the lengthy operation of building a makeshift TARDIS to find the original, incorporating the Blue Peter winner's design.
- The reason why people are disapering when walking upstairs is because there is a Crack, erasing them.

BBC Video - Doctor Who Series Five - Volume Four will feature The Lodger, Episode 12 and Episode 13. It will be released on Monday 6th September 2010 (UK Only) on DVD and Blu-Ray.[9]
