Tales from the Tardis/2013 message: Are you Wikia Staff? Read this.

On 10 January 2013, a programme was undertaken to switch to a darker skin for only namespace 0. This has involved some fairly intricate CSS work, and we are not done yet. The ETA for the skin completion is no later than 20 January.

In the intervening time, we are very much aware that some standard Wikia elements are obscured, since the colour scheme for ns:0 is pretty much the exact inverse of all other namespaces.

This is not a permanent design decision. In no way do we intend to permanently violate Wikia's Terms of Use.
