User:SOTO/Forum Archive/The Panopticon/@comment-24894325-20160617182824/@comment-1432718-20160618005343 I don't recall any separate consciousness of the First Doctor being created in The Savages, though it's been a couple of years at least since I last listened to it. His energy was drained and put into Jano, and Jano took on some of the Doctor's personality traits.

Even if this consciousness appears in The Savages, I have a problem with using the name "First Doctor (The Savages)", as the real First Doctor also appears in that story. A different dab term would be required (similar to the situation where both the Fourth Doctor and the Fourth Doctor (clone) appear in The Invisible Enemy).
