A lot of time has passed since the 50th anniversary. I think this is one of those rare cases when we are all happy to have been proved wrong. We are very privileged indeed to be able to enjoy 12 more stories with the inimitable Sir John Hurt, recorded before his untimely departure. In our defence, even the man who produced these recordings believed at the time that this would never happen.

The War Doctor remains with us. And despite not allowing to be called "the Doctor", as always, he inspired companions. The template has since been created and can be found at Template:Companions of the War Doctor.
