Adventure Time (franchise)
Adventure Time is an American animated fantasy television series created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network.
Set in the Land of Ooo, a surreal post-apocalyptic world full of magic and whimsical characters, the series follows the adventures of best friends and surrogate brothers, Finn the Human and Jake the Dog, as they protect the Candy Kingdom from the forces of evil.
The series originated as a short pilot episode that aired in 2007, before being picked up for a full-length television series that ran on Cartoon Network for ten seasons from 5 April 2010 to 3 September 2018, with the show's universe being subsequently revisited via a television miniseries, as well as in such other media as comic books and video games.
Crossovers
Adventure Time was one of the multiple franchises to be represented alongside the Doctor Who universe in the mass-crossover toys-to-life video game, LEGO Dimensions. The Adventure Time content was added to the game via its second wave of figurines and adventure packs on 18 November 2016, joining Doctor Who and the other existing franchise elements that were built into the game upon its original release.
This addition to the game allowed players to control the franchise's four playable characters - Finn, Jake, Marceline, and Lumpy Space Princess - and have them play through the A Dalektable Adventure and Dalek Extermination of Earth levels, and explore the Who-themed adventure world, as well as operate K9 and interact with the Doctor's TARDIS.
In turn, this allowed the player to play as the Doctor or the Cyberman during the A Book and a Bad Guy story, explore the Adventure Time adventure world, and battle in the Pillow Fort, Breakfast Kingdom, and Pillow Fort After Dark battle arenas, as well as using the related vehicles - the Jakemobile, the Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant, BMO, the Lumpy Car, and the Lunatic Amp - in any world.
One of the playable characters, Marceline the Vampire Queen, has a unique voice clip when she is paired with the Doctor during gameplay: "Can I drink one of your hearts... I mean, it's not like you need them both or anything".
In promotional material for the game, the Adventure Time content was greatly advertised in the trailer, New Adventures Await!, with the remaining third of the trailer taking place in the Land of Ooo and featuring appearances by Finn and Jake. Notably, the Twelfth Doctor made his only appearance during these scenes, first exiting his TARDIS and immediately being launched into the air by a hidden spring trap, and later running into battle alongside Finn, Jake, and various other heroes and villains.
The show's original voice cast reprised most, if not all of their roles from the television series, including Jeremy Shada as Finn, John DiMaggio as Jake, and Olivia Olson as Marceline.

Hynden Walch, who also appeared in LEGO Dimensions as the DWU element-adjacent, Teen Titans Go! character, Starfire, is a regular cast member in the series, voicing Princess Bubblegum. She also reprised the role within the same game.
Paul F. Tompkins, who was an interview subject on various documentaries, voiced Jalapeño Pepper and Furnius in the season four episode, Ignition Point, and SMOs in the season five episode, Be More.
Another documentary interview subject, Reggie Watts, voices the turtle announcer in the season eight episode, Daddy-Daughter Card Wars, Vinny in the Islands miniseries, and other additional voices.
David Bradley voiced an elderly version of Finn in the Adventure Time: Distant Lands episode, Together Again.
