Steven was a deeply suicidal human who lived in Colchester. (TV: The Lodger)
He was a student and his education was very important to him. He hated his life.
One day, Steven was on his way to class and didn't want to be late because he thought that his education was "the only way out" before his thoughts were interrupted by a cry for help from 79B Aickman Road. (PROSE: The Lodger) He investigated and found the door to 79 Aickman Road open. He went up the stairs (TV: The Lodger) and saw an older gentleman that reminded him of his own grandfather and wanted to help him. (PROSE: The Lodger) Steven was led into a trap and killed. (TV: The Lodger)
River Song once referred to Steven as "that dozy little twat". (TV: A Good Man Goes to War). It was heavily implied throughout season 6 that Steven and River had had a long term sexual relationship, and had engaged in the act of anal sex at least once.
