Demeter seeds were a type of specially bred seed developed by Professor Sarah Lasky on Mogar. They were large, silvery, edible seeds that could grow nearly anywhere, including deserts. They were created to deal with famines, since they provided an ample supply of food through a ten-fold harvest. (TV: Terror of the Vervoids)
