The Gendar Is Fake Trust, or G.I.F.T., was a non-profit research group whose aim was to "prove" that the Gendar civilisation was a grand hoax, thus resolving the paradox of its obvious ancient existence which contradicted the obvious scientific fact that Gendar's climate should never have allowed sentient life to arise there, at least in the form of unremarkable humanoids. They once bankrolled Drezen Hael's three-month expedition into the Gendar desert, during which he focused on the theory that all Gendar architecture and even inhabitants were just holograms. Naturally, he found no such evidence, and gradually came to believe that it was at the very least a much baser form of hoax perpetrated by people in costumes to create a tourist trap.
