Crispin Torr was the commander of ALARC. He was researching the development of androids without restrictions and limitations. This was to create better AIs. He had Mariah Six mimic her as part to get her to have leadership qualities.[statement unclear] The Tenth Doctor asked him about the androids after Moran Kez's death thinking that their was a rogue Android.[statement unclear] He told him that the androids would have the memories wiped and that only humans could switch it off.[statement unclear] The Doctor showed him that there was an android who was copying one of the bear creatures.
