In 2009, as Alice Carter attempted to contact her father Jack Harkness, her son Steven watched a TV series. The series in question featured a man dressed in a costume and make-up describing a game on the show. A younger man in casual clothing and a red headband was also featured on the show immediately after.
Alice and Steven left their house before Agent Johnson's raid on the home. As her troops raided the property, the programme was still playing on the television. (TV: Children of Earth: Day Three)
Behind the scenes
- Although unnamed in Children of Earth: Day Three, the television series was called Trapped! in the real world. The show was airing on CBBC at the time of Children of Earth's production.
- In the real world, Simon Greenall stars as "the Caretaker", who is the initial character seen in the episode. Simon Greenall had previously portrayed Colin Skinner in the episode Love & Monsters.
