Doctor Who was used to promote Weetabix in the 1975 Doctor Who And His Enemies and the 1977 Weetabix Doctor Who Action Game.
The 1977 promotion included a television advert featuring a modified Dalek Supreme from Terry Nation's collection. This advert, in which the Supreme ordered all Daleks to find and exterminate all packs of Weetabix containing secret messages from the Time Lords, was suggested to be "the true beginning of the Time War" in The Dalek invasion of pop culture, published as part of Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe.
