Behind the scenes

The cover of The Beano #3695.

Calamity James is the titular main protagonist of The Beano comic strip Calamity James.

He was featured on the cover art of The Beano #3695, an anniversary issue, which depicted a single scene also involving a Dalek.

Calamity James, among others, in a Bananaman strip parodying the Daleks.

He was among the Beano characters who made a cameo appearance in the Bananaman strip published in The Beano #3869, which had various characters be arrested by Dalek-like post boxes. Although his capture was not seen, his presence in the prison heavily suggested that he was captured by them.
