Fanshield Industrial Park was located off of the ring road just outside Reading. It was a typical example of an industrial park, with low-rise buildings made of cheap bricks fitted with identical windows with PVC frames, and as such the entire complex had an uninteresting appearance which did not stand out. Unit 42 was, in 2006, the home of UK Rocket Project 9.2, the Guinevere One space probe. The British government utilized Fanshield Industrial Park's appearance to conceal the project's headquarters.
