In an alternate timeline created by the use of the Utopian Engine, Anji Kapoor compared Franz Gottlieb to Hannibal Lecter. (PROSE: Reckless Engineering)

Tasha Williams compared a Drofen's murder of a human to something Hannibal Lecter was capable of. She explained that he was a cannibal from a film to Maxie Masters when she didn't understand the reference. (PROSE: What Lurks in the Shadows)

Hannibal first appeared in the 1981 novel Red Dragon by Thomas Harris. He went on to appear in several sequels and a variety of film adaptations, most famously the 1991 film The Silence of the Lambs. Brian Cox played Lecter in the film Manhunter.
