Shirley Anne Bingham was UNIT scientific adviser number 56. She was tasked with evaluating the Meep's "crashed" ship at the Millson Wagner Steelworks, and later aided the Fourteenth Doctor in averting the destruction of London.

Biography

Shirley Anne was a wheelchair user, indicating she was physically disabled. Shirley Anne could sit in her wheelchair with crossed legs, indicating that she was not paraplegic, but had some other type of physical disability. She had a northern accent.

At some point, Shirley Anne became UNIT scientific adviser number 56. Shirley Anne learned about the Doctor and his ability to regenerate; she apparently knew what the Doctor's Tenth, Eleventh, Twelfth and Thirteenth incarnations looked like.

Shirley Anne and a team of UNIT soldiers were tasked with evaluating the Meep's "crashed" ship at the Millson Wagner Steelworks. There, she spotted the Doctor snooping around the facility, who was conducting an investigation of his own; Shirley interrupted the Doctor, and the two shared data on the crash before formally introducing themselves to one another. Shirley recognised the Doctor's face as belonging to their tenth incarnation. However, the Doctor informed her that he was actually the Thirteenth Doctor's successor, which confused Shirley Anne. The Doctor then clarified that he, the Fourteenth Doctor, had inexplicably gained a face and body that was near-identical to that of the Tenth Doctor.
