If a valid source gives us the name "Arbitans" for the species, then why don't we use that — Arbitan (species) — instead of giving our own, conjectural title to them? Sure, it was probably an error on part of whomever wrote The Fishmen of Kandalinga, but it's all we've got. Besides, this isn't the first time a species is retroactively given the name of a prominent individual.

Merge[[edit source]]
Removing the merge tag. There's enough ambiguity on the Marinian page where it states Marinians were a "human race," one of the "many races" of Marinus." While The Fishmen of Kandalinga (short story) is clearer with its intent. Until there's something that directly draws these two pages together as the same they should remain unmerged and separate. --Tangerineduel / talk 05:48, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
