Dalek Sec

Under Dalek Sec's entry it states 'He gave his life to save the Doctor'. Watching it back again this statement is...questionable, it's not totally untrue (maybe) but it looks more that he's trying to convince Thay and Jast rather than throwing himself in front of the Daleks' weapons to save the Doctor. --Tangerineduel 03:40, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure about it either (and that part originally had that the Daleks exteminated him), but Wikipedia has it like that, although it's still very questionable. If there was a "Noooooooooooo!!!" then it would've been life-saving, definately. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 06:24, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

It's just that I had a look through the Outpost Gallifrey forums and there's a lot of...contention over what Sec actually did...Wikipedia isn't the be all and end all...after all this wiki is meant to be the expert in Doctor Who related matters...--Tangerineduel 06:58, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, I've changed it back to an older revision as the previous one goes better than the others (in my opinion), but it's just that until we know for sure it's more accurate. As another point, was it Thay or Jast who had his back polycarbide plates removed? I thought it was Jast (which would make all the Cult have a relatively large individual part in the story) but somebody changed it to be in Thay's section, which I changed back with the rest of the edits. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 06:11, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

I think it's Thay, when they're all in their control room Sec turns to Thay and says "We have all made sacrifices Thay", or something along those lines. Actually, have just re-watched it, I can't work out if when Sec says it to Thay the camera shot is either of Jaast or Thay. --Tangerineduel 06:46, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

For what it's worth I thought Sec sacrificed himself for the Doctor; you don't jump in front of a gunstick in that kind of situation unless you know what you're doing! Furthermore it kind of says everything you need to know about what happened to Sec, that he gave up his own life to save the Doctor from the Daleks. It may not be indisputable simply from what's on screen but it makes more sense (and is more satisfying) in terms of story, which is surely the most important thing. --Gai-jin 08:35, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
