Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.

British English, please

We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.

Spoilers aren't cool

We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.

Other useful stuff

Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:

Thanks for becoming a member of the TARDIS crew! If you have any questions, see the Help pages, add a question to one of the Forums or ask an admin.

Plagiarism

Hi, please do not copy plot summaries from pages such as the Doctor Who Reference Guide, this is Plagiarism. --Tangerineduel 04:44, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

The Doctor's Family

You added the line "See The Doctor's Family" to the section The Doctor#The Doctor's Family.

No such article exists. If you're writing one, it would probably be better to write it before adding links.

Also, if you're writing one, I'm pretty article names, like headings, are supposed to be in sentence case (The Doctor's family), not title case (The Doctor's Family). See, for example, The Doctor's age.

Finally, if you want to add a link like this, the right way to do it is to indent and italicize the reference. And, if the article name is the same as the section name, and nothing more needs to be said than just "see it", it's better to call it "separate article". (Look at The Doctor#The Doctor's Age directly above for an example.)

In other words:

See separate article.

In the mean time, I'm going to revert your change. --Falcotron 02:22, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

I never once mentioned your spelling, or your age, so I don't know why you think I was criticizing either.
In fact, you spelled everything perfectly. What you did wrong was everything else--you added a link to a page that doesn't exist, using the wrong formatting, and the wrong wording. I reverted this because adding redlinks add nothing of value.
Your comment on my talk page was also spelled perfectly--but it was also full of grammatical mistakes, yelling in all caps, profanity, and multiple exclamation points. I suspect you're not actually dyslexic; you're just stupid, and someone's trying to find a nice way of telling you. I might go along with that, but not after you screamed at me on my talk page for no reason.
If you're going to take anything anyone says as an attack on your spelling and your age, even when neithr one is even hinted at in the slightest, you're going to have a very unhappy life. --Falcotron 12:12, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

The Pages are not needed. The Doctor's family i suggested your merged the information you had into the article. The History of the Cybermen page was not needed, as it is already on the the Cyberman page. You can look through pages and find Red Links - which are pages we need created - instead of doing pages that are, really not needed Mini-mitch 23:49, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
