John Tulloch is an academic scholar who co-wrote Doctor Who: The Unfolding Text with Manuel Alvarado, as well as Science Fiction Audiences: Waching Star Trek and Doctor Who with Henry Jenkins.

Tulloch was badly injured in the 7/7 London Underground bombing, where he was seated next to the detonating bomb. Later, he was in the news again because he fell through a loophole in the British Nationality law, having been born in India to a British military officer and later becoming a naturalised Australian. He was threatened with deportation from the United Kingdom until the dispute was resolved in 2012.
