Réunion was an island in the Indian Ocean near Madagascar.

The United Nations had a military complex on the island in the 20th century. By March 1988, Therése Gavalle was in charge of the facility. Tko-Ma had been kept there for a year, until escaping in 4 May 1988. He slaughtered all the soldiers except Gavalle, whose memory he erased of their encounter. UN troops that arrived the next day found only eight survivors, with Gavalle having completely disappeared. (PROSE: Instruments of Darkness)
