The Adventure of the Naval Treaty was a Sherlock Holmes story by Arthur Conan Doyle.
After writing the piece, Doyle was confronted and threatened by Strax in order for him to desist plagiarising Vastra, Jenny, and his adventures. According to Vastra, this is what prompted Doyle to kill off Sherlock at Reichenbach Falls. (AUDIO: Whatever Remains)

In the real world, this short story was in the 1893 collection The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes, having first been published in The Strand that same year.
