Bob Bell
Bob Bell (21 March 1918 - 6 June 2009[1]) was the art director for the first series of the supermarionation television series Thunderbirds. This included the episode The Man from MI.5, which crossed over into the Doctor Who universe by featuring an appearance by the Daleks. He worked as a supervising art director for the second series, as well as the two films Thunderbirds Are Go and Thunderbird 6.
Bell was also involved in several other creations of Gerry Anderson which shared crossovers with the DWU. He was the art director for some of Fireball XL5, all of Stingray, and a supervising art director for Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. On other Anderson productions, Bell was the assistant art director for some of Four Feather Falls, the art director for Doppelgänger and The Protectors, as well as UFO for which he also wrote one episode, and the associate producer for some of Terrahawks in addition to the entire run of Dick Spanner, P.I..
Bell's other notable television credits include being the art director for The New Avengers, an assistant art director for Hammer House of Horror, and as a production co-ordinator for Dynasty. Among the film credits that he received for his work as an art director are The Wild Geese, Lion of the Desert and Friend or Foe.
