John Peverill (9 November 1922-11 April 1996[1]) was the supervising sound editor for the entirety of the supermarionation television series Thunderbirds. This included the episode The Man from MI.5, which crossed over into the Doctor Who universe by featuring an appearance by the Daleks. He worked as a sound editor for the film Thunderbirds Are Go and again as a supervising sound editor for the film Thunderbird 6.

Peverill was also involved in several other creations of Gerry Anderson which shared crossovers with the DWU. He had earlier been a sound editor for several episodes of Supercar and Fireball XL5, as well as almost all of Stingray. After Thunderbirds, he was the supervising sound editor for every episode of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons and for some of Joe 90. On other Anderson productions, all of which never crossed over with Doctor Who, Peverill was the sound editor for the film Doppelgänger, the supervising sound editor for at least one episode of The Secret Service, the final series to be filmed in supermarionation, and for the entire run of the live-action series UFO, which constituted his final television credits.
