David Fisher (13 April 1929-10 January 2018[1]) wrote several television scripts for seasons 16, 17 and 18 of Doctor Who, and novelised two of his own stories in the early 1980s.

Fisher wrote another script for Doctor Who called A Gamble With Time, but it put too much of an emphasis on gambling and was therefore deemed inappropriate. He was unable to revise it, so it was altered by Douglas Adams and Graham Williams. It became City of Death and was produced under the pseudonym David Agnew.

In the 2010s, he novelised his remaining stories as audio versions for AudioGO, replacing the novelisations by Terrance Dicks.
