"Lot 27", as it was later called, (COMIC: The Fountains of Forever [+]Loading...["The Fountains of Forever (comic story)"]) was an alien hairdryer once owned by henry Van Statten within his Van Statten Collection in his Utah base, (PROSE: The Time Traveller's Almanac [+]Loading...{"chaptname":"Everything Changes","page":"147","chaptnum":"3","1":"The Time Traveller's Almanac (reference book)"}) the Vault. History[[edit] | [edit source]]

In 2012, the Ninth Doctor identified the hairdryer as such while in the Vault, while Adam Mitchell had mistakenly thought it was a weapon. (TV: Dalek [+]Loading...["Dalek (TV story)"])

The hairdryer would later appear as one of the alien artefacts up for auction at the Ebonite Rooms, referred to as "Lot 27" in lieu of a precise name. It was sold by an auctioneer as a "heat ray disintegration device", though the Tenth Doctor recognised the object, again identifying it as a hairdryer.
