A member of the "inner circle", Urizen's game-master' proposed the logic of play in opposition to Urizen's rationality. After Urizen was successful, this individual left the main universe, hiding in the Cosmic Basement with "blackjacks and more blackjacks".

According to Auteur, Mortimus referred to him as "a being of vast mental powers, who could destroy entire realms with his mind".
