"Mortimer Avenue" is a title based upon conjecture.

Check the behind the scenes section, the revision history and discussion page for additional comments on this article's title.

A street in Sheffield was the location of Graham and Grace O'Brien's home, number 36.

History

This section's awfully stubby.

Please help by adding some more information.

Number 36, was, according to a plaque, constructed in the 1890s. (TV: Arachnids in the UK [+]Loading...["Arachnids in the UK (TV story)"])

Behind the scenes

  • Dialogue in Arachnids in the UK [+]Loading...["Arachnids in the UK (TV story)"] implies that the location of the street is more-or-less analogous to the real world filming location, Shrewsbury Road. While props used in the episode[1][2] indicate that the street was rather named Mortimer Avenue, this does not necessarily preclude the geographical position being different.

Though it's possible that a real world location doesn't exist in the same geographic space in the Doctor Who universe, such cases are few and far between. Thus, the map to the right is probably a good indicator of the DWU location of Mortimer Avenue.
