"Juniper" (song)

"Juniper" was a lost song written by David Bowie in 1977. It was the second track on side two of Profile, the second half of his double album Low/Profile which was destroyed by the Nemenoids. The song ran for 2 minutes and 53 seconds and was described as a "rocky acoustic number, full of rage and brimstone". It was preceded in the album by "Nighttime Curiosity" and followed by "Black & White".

Panda later stated that the track was "a response to the sheer amount of gin consumed by Iris [Wildthyme] during the recordings" of the album, with legend suggesting that Bowie once woke up on the studio floor beside an unconscious Wildthyme and vomited due to the intensity of her breath and reek of juniper coming from her; inspired, he immediately recorded the song.
