Folio

A folio was a type of book. The term was sometimes associated with the works of William Shakespeare.

Mariah Learman had an original, leatherbound folio of Shakespeare's collected plays in her library. The ink had faded and the pages yellowed by the 21st century. The Eighth Doctor and Charley briefly examined the folio after arriving in New Britain to investigate why people were forgetting Shakespeare. The Doctor later read it again and found the pages to be blank which signified that the Daleks' chances of succeeding in their plan to invade Earth's past had increased in probability.
