Succeeding was a player in a regular high stakes game for the rich and powerful. He was a hunter of rare and endangered animals from across space. During one of the games, he hoped to win the last of the Zetacene Swine. If he won it, he planned to hunt it and kill it, thus making the species extinct. He felt that bringing a species to extinction made him comparable to a god. He was killed by the Zetacene when it escaped, with his head removed from his body in a manner similar to a hunting trophy.
