The Player's Guide was an 86-page booklet in the original release of Adventures in Time and Space which acted as the instructions for the game for the players. It was therefore written to be the start of the game's experience, and introduced many elements which would persist across the narrative players would create with the game.

The short story Packing the Box was inside this feature.

Updated versions of this content would be released with each updated version of the game, usually integrated into a general rulebook. Material from this original guide was often re-used, even into the 2021 rulebook.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Doctor and his world are explained to readers.

A section on possible adventurers gives players the option of playing as characters from television, or making their own characters. They needn't even play as the Doctor.
