Interactive fiction in the Doctor Who universe usually had player characters whose actions were controlled by a real person experiencing the work. While such characters were often Doctors and companions from the television show, they were sometimes original creations whose behaviours were more defined by the players. Sometimes, these characters more directly represented the player.
