The Howling → Big empty house?

The Doctor mentioned that Amy was living in a big empty house. Could her family have been erased by the cracks? Amy mentioned that she "never had a mom or dad, only an aunt". We have never seen her aunt. Can her aunt be some alien pretending to be her aunt? I always thought there was something weird about that big house and just Amy and her aunt (that we've never seen) living there. And that shadow running the the window when Amelia is outside waiting for the TARDIS to return could be someone else other than the Doctor or Prisoner Zero as most people have thought so far.
