Behind the scenes
- Pokémon (short for "Pocket Monster") is a Japanese video game franchise. The series primarily revolves around the task of capturing the titular monsters and having them battle each other.
- Sil's citizen file refers to the Pokédex listing for Bulbasaur, the first Pokémon in the Pokédex. The Pokédex is an encyclopedia that the player must fill up by seeing, catching and evolving Pokémon within the game.

- The Pokémon Trading Card Game was, until 2003, originally published outside of Asia by Wizards of the Coast.
- Billie Piper recorded a song for the western release of Pokémon: The First Movie, "Makin' My Way (Any Way That I Can)". Though the song was not used in the movie itself, it appeared on its official soundtrack album. Britney Spears, who appeared as herself in Looking for Pudsey, also contributed the song, "Soda Pop", to the soundtrack.
- A live-action Pokémon film, titled Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, was released in 2019. The film featured Bill Nighy, Josette Simon, and Max Fincham.
- The Pokémon anime series is currently broadcast in the United Kingdom on CBBC and BBC iPlayer. They have also been broadcast as part of Saturday Mash-Up!
